Inspection Authorization, Learning Statement Reference Guide
Written as iar008 or IAR008 on your score report.
The FAA's wording
Calculate weight and balance - adjust weight / fuel.
What it means
IAR008 is a Learning Statement Code. Tests that are not yet built on an Airman Certification Standards (ACS) document print these codes instead of ACS codes. Each one names a subject the FAA asked about, so seeing IAR008 on your report means at least one of your wrong answers was on this subject.
Seeing it on your score report
Your Airman Knowledge Test Report lists a code for each area where you missed a question. Seeing IAR008 there means at least one of your wrong answers was on this subject. If you are taking the practical test next, expect the examiner to ask about it. Retaking the written? Start with this code and the others on your report.
