Private Pilot study guide
The eleven Private Pilot test areas
The FAA builds every Private Pilot Airplane test from its private pilot test standard (FAA-S-ACS-6C), split into eleven areas of operation. The testing company's bulletin gives each area's share of the test: Preflight Preparation and Takeoffs, Landings, and Go-Arounds are about a fifth each, so they deserve the most study time. Open an area to see everything the FAA lists for it, with sample questions.
